I have always been a feend for glassware. I’m pretty sure it’s the first thing I ever bought myself when I started caring about home fashion and not only clothes. My parents were recently in Arizona and I asked them to scour the thrift stores there for any cool glassware to go on my new bar cart–I don’t know why but the thrift stores out there are always full of goodies.
Growing up, I remember my mom used to make a mouth-watering lemon loaf. You could almost smell the lemon-y goodness as soon as you were at our driveway and the intoxicating scent grew the closer you got to the back door.
Salsa Verde is one of those things I have mostly enjoyed in Mexico but have yet to find any versions here that live up to that taste and flavour down south.
I post a lot of recipes from the Rebar Modern Food Cookbook and I’m sure there’s more to come as I make my way through the pages but when I found this recipe I knew I just had to try it. I found canned tomatillos at Save-On-Foods in the Mexican aisle and I absolutely love the flavour they bring to this dip.
